Our Review Process

How We Review
& Score Every Casino

We only care about this. Casino bonuses always sound incredible when you first hear about them, but they are almost always hauled back to reality when you dive into the terms and conditions. We actually claim and play through bonuses with real money, read every single word of the terms, and tell you whether the wagering requirements can actually be met or not. The ones claiming 60x wagering usually mean your deposit is gone the second you accept.

How We Actually Review Casinos

Most review sites make the mistake of looking at the headline bonus value and nothing else. We don't. The casino welcome offer is only the beginning of what you can expect. All casinos here are evaluated in the same way before we get to assigning scores.

1

Create a Real Account

We sign up as a regular player would: how long is it all taking, what personal details are we asked to provide, how hard is it to turn over that dreaded proof of ID. All of that gets noted.

2

Deposit Real Money

None of that fake wallet or demo account business for this section. We fund the account with real Canadian cash using the most popular methods in Canada – Interac, Visa and e-wallets. We'll look at the minimum deposit required, any associated fees and how quickly the funds are deposited.

3

Play the Games

Slots, live casino, sports if available. We check the page loading speed, games portfolio, mobile game performance and where the RTP (Return to Player) values are. Players must be aware of the game odds, and we make sure you can actually find them.

5

Contact Support

We throw some questions at their support and see how long it takes to get a real answer. They might respond fast, but we check whether the person on the other end can actually assist us. We hit the support page and send our question via chat and email to see how they handle it and to clock the response times.

6

Request a Withdrawal

Time to find out if the payment comes through and how quickly. We look at the speed of the transfer from when the withdrawal request was made and note any fees that are charged. All hard data, no guesswork.

So, here's the scoop about our group. We aren't some corporation with lab coats and a bunch of white walls. We're literally a group of close friends who just so happen to be very passionate about casino games. Between all of us, we each have different preferences. Some of us are slot fanatics, while others exclusively play blackjack or are more particular to live dealer games. That range of tastes means every review covers more ground than one person's perspective ever could.

The Scoring System

How the 10-Point Scale Works

Rates are based on 7 criteria. The weightings reflect the relative importance of each category: bonus terms and withdrawal speed are given more weight, because these matter most when deciding whether to take a bonus. Here's how we split the categories:

⚖️

Licensing & Safety

Is this casino properly regulated? By whom? We only consider casinos that hold a MGA, UKGC or Kahnawake licence. No licence? No review. Period.

Category weightHigh
🎮

Game Selection

How many games, how good are they and who made them. Is the RTP value displayed and is the live casino really worth loading. We also examine the range of providers behind the library.

Category weightHigh

Withdrawal Speed

This one matters the most to us, and probably to you too. Getting a bonus is nice, but waiting 10 business days to get your money back is not ideal. We measure the time between requesting a withdrawal and when it gets paid out, every time.

💬

Customer Support

How quickly do they respond? Do the agents actually help or are they just reading from a script? We put live chat and email to the test by asking the same question at every casino and timing the responses. Fairer than you think.

🛡️

Responsible Gaming

Deposit limits, reality checks, self-exclusion, links to support organisations. We reward sites that make these features easy to find and use. We penalise those that hide them or make them hard to access.

Category weightHigh
📱

Mobile Experience

Tested on real phones, not a desktop window pretending to be mobile. Load times, controls, available games and whether the app is more than just a reskinned website and actually worth downloading.

Category weightMedium
9.0 – 10
Outstanding. A top-tier pick.
7.5 – 8.9
Solid and worth considering.
6.0 – 7.4
Decent with notable trade-offs.
Below 6.0
Not something we'd recommend.
Our Standards

What We Won't Do

We earn commissions when players deposit using our casino links. That's how every casino review site works, including us. But what separates us from others?

✗ Pay-for-play scores

Casinos can pay to be featured or placed higher on the page. But they can't pay to have a higher score. The score is based solely on our testing. So if a casino pays to be featured but has slow payouts, it still gets a low payout speed score.

✗ Review unlicensed casinos

Only casinos licensed by a recognised regulatory body get reviewed here. If a casino fails to supply proof of a valid licence, it will not be considered.

✗ Hide the negatives

For every review we include the cons that we actually found. We don't interpret, we don't exaggerate or leave out the important bits. If the withdrawal speed is slow, the fees are annoying or the support is bad, it's in the review. No more, no less.

✗ Publish stale information

Casino audits are updated every quarter at the latest. Bonus terms can change, as can ownership or licensing. We keep this information current so you don't have to worry about reading an outdated review when deciding where to play.

Published Reviews

Every Casino We've Reviewed

We don't care about quantity of reviews if it means sacrificing quality. A few honest reviews from our actual testing is far more valuable than a large number of reviews that nobody verified. Everything below went through our full testing process.

Common Questions

Questions About How We Review

Do you actually test the casinos, or is it research-based?
Testing comes first, always. We create a real account, make a deposit, play a full session, and then request a withdrawal. The research part, going through the terms, checking the licence, and verifying the provider list, fills in what the hands-on experience doesn't cover. Simple rule: if we haven't deposited real money there, we haven't reviewed it.
How long does a single casino review take from start to finish?
At least a few weeks. We need to open and fund the account, play enough sessions to get a real feel for the platform, test support with actual questions, and then wait for the withdrawal to land. Some sites send the payout through in a few hours, others take a day or more. We don't publish a full review until we see the money arrive.
How often do you update reviews?
Every 3 months, at minimum. Updates to a casino's licence, a change in ownership, or a significant revision to bonus terms will see the review updated sooner. You'll always see a "Last updated" date on every review so you know how current the information is.
What happens if a casino's score drops after you publish?
We update the review and change the score. Casinos can change ownership, switch payment providers, or quietly raise wagering requirements. Our quarterly re-audit catches most of these, though we can update between audits too. If it matters to our recommendation, the review and score both get updated and the old one is removed.
Can a casino request to be reviewed?
Yes. Any licensed casino can reach out and we'll add them to the testing queue. Requesting a review doesn't guarantee one, and it definitely doesn't guarantee a positive one. The score comes from our testing. We have a long list of "review requests" that quietly went nowhere once the casino realised we were actually going to test properly.
