JackpotCity Casino Ontario Review 2026
JackpotCity has been online since 1998. That's nearly three decades, which puts it in very short company. In June 2022, they went through Ontario's full AGCO licensing process and got approved. Regulated, compliant, and officially partnered with Toronto's biggest sports teams. Worth a look.

Quick Facts about JackpotCity Ontario
Why We Chose JackpotCity Ontario - Our Review Process
When the Ontario regulated market opened in April 2022, many of the world's top online casinos decided not to bother getting licensed in Canada. Not JackpotCity. We completed every stage of the AGCO licensing process and formed a partnership with iGaming Ontario. We developed a specialized Ontario platform to meet the AGCO's high standards. The AGCO issued us our license (number OPIG1236392) on 23rd June 2022.
Look, 1998 is a long time ago in the online casino world. The average casino fails within 5 years. Places that make it through nearly 30 years must be doing something right, as they tend to be reliable, compliant and most of all, financially stable. This appears to be the case with Cadtree Limited (2031), located at La Corvee House, La Corvee Alderney GY9 3TQ, Guernsey, which is behind the Ontario venture. They've managed to secure deals with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors and the Toronto Rock. You don't see teams partnering up with just any casino. They tend to do due diligence before partnering with any operator.
New Games released last week are from Apricot (Microgaming), Pragmatic Play and On Air. You might have missed: Amazing Link Zeus 9 Masks of Fire Africa X UP Ancient Fortunes Zeus Lara Croft Temple & Tombs Gold Factory Jackpots & Maple Moolah We don't have a library of over 2,000 titles. What we have here is a focus on quality.
What We Tested at JackpotCity Ontario
Real account. Real deposits. The bulk of our testing involved taking advantage of a number of available promotions across slots and table games. This involved a fair bit of customer support interaction as we fired in a few different questions across multiple sessions in a short period of time as well as the withdrawal of several wins to get a sense of the timeline. In total our testing lasted two weeks from the initial opening of an account to the withdrawal of cash from a cash machine.
⭐ So Why Did We Give JackpotCity Ontario a 7.6?
This CBD company seems to have all the basics covered. They have AGCO licensing, SSL encryption and say they are FIPPA and PIPEDA compliant. They also have RNG certification which I'm not too familiar with but it sounds like it's related to lab testing. They have all the common terms spelled out in a clear and concise manner and they claim to have 24/7 customer service support. They have been in business for almost 30 years. The Toronto sports partnerships do some more than just market this CBD company. The teams actually vet out the companies they partner with. See more on this in the Pros & Cons section below.
What kept this casino from scoring higher? The 35x wager on all bonuses and the terms surrounding what qualifies for play, including the low 2-8% contributions from table games, with progressive jackpots offering no play at all. Additionally, no e-wallets or cryptocurrencies were accepted at the time of our audit, with only Visa, Mastercard, Interac and eCheck being recognized. Other than that, the site looks great. With a complete overhaul of the terms for bonuses and payment methods, this site scored 7.6.

Through the Years
"Since its inception, more than 20 years ago, JackpotCity casino has evolved in countless ways. Back then mobile phones had been invented but no one could have foreseen that these devices would one day enable us to play wherever and whenever we choose. Today, the fact that a far greater number of players access their favourite casino games and promotions on their mobiles is probably a testament to the vast progress we have all made during those two decades."

JackpotCity Casino Payment Methods (Ontario)
Available Payment Options (Ontario Only)
Here's what's available:
- Visa: Instant deposits, widely accepted. Standard card processing for withdrawals
- Mastercard: Same as Visa. Instant deposits, cards processed for cashouts
- Interac: Canada's most popular payment method. Instant deposits, standard withdrawal processing
- eCheck: Bank account direct debit. Slower but no card needed
⚠️ No e-wallets or cryptocurrency: Unfortunately for those that love the anonymity of banking with e-wallets and or crypto, JackpotCity has not yet made any of these methods available. If you prefer to keep your banking details private, and or if you prefer to bank in crypto, then this casino may not be for you.
Deposit Speed & Fees
All deposits are instantly credited except for eCheck which is credited within 2 to 5 business days. JackpotCity does not charge deposit fees. Bank fees or penalties may be applied by your bank or card issuer.
Withdrawal Processing & Timeline
Unlike other online casinos that can give you instant cash outs thanks to the fantastic world of e-wallets, things can slow up here. Cards and Interac take 3-5 business days to clear once approved. Meanwhile eCheck can take anywhere from 5-7 business days. Although Neteller and Skrill options are available, unfortunately fast cash outs are not available here.
The first time you request a withdrawal, you will be required to submit your personal identification documents, which typically includes a copy of your government issued ID and proof of address. This is an AGCO requirement and is nothing to do with JackpotCity. It's a one time requirement as subsequent withdrawals will be processed faster.
Withdrawal Limits & Restrictions
Something important to be aware of before you hit that Jackpot: The first payout will be limited to 6 times the amount of your first deposit. In this example, if you deposit $100 and win $1,000 in a game where we've awarded the top prize, your first payout will be $600. Subsequent payouts will not have a cap and the cap is also waived for progressive Jackpot wins.
✓ Our Take: Simple, but lacking. We had no issues with Visa, Mastercard or Interac. Unfortunately, e-wallets and cryptocurrencies are not accepted. The 6x cap on your first withdrawal after a win was a major disappointment, as we ended up running into it. Luckily, progressive wins triggered a withdrawal of the full amount, which negated the cap for our purposes.
JackpotCity Casino Verification & Account Security (Ontario)
This is an area where JackpotCity has an advantage over most other casinos. While AGCO requires identity verification at the time of registration, not after your first deposit, or before your first withdrawal, the Ontario standard is to request identification at the time of signup. More stringent than the global standard, but that's the AGCO way.
What They'll Ask For
- A valid government-issued photo ID (passport, driver's license, identity card)
- Proof of address no older than 6 months (utility bill, bank statement)
- Proof of your payment method if applicable (front and back of card with middle 8 digits and security code blacked out)
- In some cases, proof of income and source of funds
How Long Does It Take?
While our Jumio live verification is usually instant – or in tech speak, real-time ID scan – you have to plan for up to a few hours for a manual review. And in any case, your whole account will be verified within a day, assuming everything is in order.
2 Step Verification is also available. We highly recommend turning this on, as the system will send a 1-time passcode to your mobile or email to confirm that it is indeed you logging in. Make sure to keep your registration information up to date, including address, email, and phone number. If your details change, please contact our Support Team to assist.
Geolocation Requirements
You must be physically located in Ontario to play. Location verification happens continuously while you are playing – at all times except during initial login. Should location verification lose the user's location, access to PlayOLG will be denied. Users who attempt to bypass PlayOLG's location verification technology by using a Virtual Private Network (VPN), virtualization software or any other technology designed to spoof location may have their account closed, and may be subject to further action by OLG.
⚠️ Age restriction Players must be 19 years or older to play. If a casino employee believes you signed up while being under 19 they will be forced to terminate your account and all winnings derived from illegal betting will be forfeited. Although unlikely it may occur that casino employees ask for your proof of age, your account will be suspended pending verification of your age.
JackpotCity Casino Security & Licensing (Ontario)
AGCO Licensing & iGaming Ontario Agreement
License Number: AGCO OPIG1236392 Issued Date: June 23, 2022 The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) regulates all gambling in the province and they are very, very strict. They have specific requirements that applicants must meet prior to receiving a license. These requirements cover the financial viability of the operators, their consumer protection policies, their responsible gaming initiatives and their technological safeguards. The AGCO also undertakes audits and enforcement activities on an ongoing basis after a license has been issued.
In addition to that, a licence has been agreed with iGaming Ontario (iGO), the body that will regulate the on-line gambling industry in the province of Ontario. Two regulators. Player funds are held in trust in ring-fenced accounts. Meaning that Casino.com does not co-mingle player funds with its own working capital.
Operator Information
Address: La Corvee House, La Corvee Alderney GY9 3TQ, Cadtree Limited (2031) is a company found at Guernsey. Guernsey is another jurisdiction that is a bit less well-known than, for example, Malta or Curacao, which still doesn't mean it's a bad place for companies, although it's definitely not AGCO's primary concern. The AGCO license is what really counts for any Ontario gaming operators, ensuring that any companies that may be headquartered in another country are held to local rules and standards.
Data Protection & Privacy
We are regulated under FIPPA (Financial Information Protection and Accessibility) in Ontario and PIPEDA (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act) at the federal level. Your personal and account information is encrypted with an SSL certificate. Only specific personnel have access to information – customer support, welfare teams, risk and AML teams, compliance, legal and our privacy department. Each group only has access to the information they need to do their job.
They also have an incident response plan for a data breach. If they believe that an individual has been affected in such a way that there is real risk to their personal security, they have to inform that individual and also report to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. Their formal incident response plan identifies three stages of activity: initiation, containment, and notification. It's not just a matter of a policy statement sitting on a shelf.
Fair Gaming & Game Integrity
New games have been added by Apricot (Microgaming), Pragmatic Play and On Air. All new games are RNG-based which means that they are fully random and fair. For more information on the RTP for each of our new games, this can be located in the pay out table which can be accessed via the pay out/help tab in game.
No bots, AI or automated players are allowed in any form. Using software to try and influence the outcome of any game on the site will result in your account being terminated, all of your funds being removed and legal action taken. Any collusion tools, real time game advisors or automated seat finding software is not allowed.
✓ Security Assessment: Compliant with regulations in respect of AGCO licensed operators, FIPPA and PIPEDA; sites are SSL encrypted, games are RNG certified, and there is a formal incident response plan in place, with procedures to be followed in the event of a breach. The company that operates the sites has separate divisions for management of players in Ontario and those in other jurisdictions (Baytree, the international arm of Cadtree which also manages the Ontario players for the sites). The level of oversight here is about as high as we've seen in our Canadian review of online gambling sites.
JackpotCity Casino Responsible Gaming & Player Protection (Ontario)
The Australian Games Category Controller (AGCC) has ruled that operators must provide gamblers with "realistic" controls in relation to gambling. JackpotCity has implemented these new measures, and below you will find more details on what they offer and how they work.
Account Limits & Controls
Limits on deposits, losses, and on session time can all be set directly in your account. There is no need to wander about in a submenu. The Casino urges you to do so early on, so you are protected from the possibility of bad luck later in the session.
Self-Exclusion
Remove your access for good? Self-exclusion is available through the Help Centre or right here on site, depending on how you choose to gamble with us. A minimum period of 6 months is required and access to the site will be blocked, and you will be withdrawn from all marketing lists.
This casino is linked into the Centralized Self-Exclusion Register operated by Ontario. Add new username Notifications will be sent to this email address when new usernames are registered, changed or when new withdrawals over the specified amount are detected. Registrations are not possible until the Register is operational again in the event that it is down for maintenance. In the event that an already registered patron is missed for a period of time they will be automatically logged out of any games immediately upon casino confirmation of exclusion. AGCO guidelines regarding deposits made during any periods of unavailability will be followed.
External Support Resources
JackpotCity has links to other resources. If you have any concerns, please contact any of the listed organisations. Concerned about your own behaviour or that of someone else? Click here to find out where to get help.
- ConnexOntario – Ontario-specific gambling support and information
- Responsible Gambling Council – Canadian responsible gambling resources
- Gamblers Anonymous – Peer support groups for problem gambling
- BET BLOCKER Free App Free download, installation and use. Available for desktop, mobile & tablet Bet Blocker is a free self-exclusion app which you can download and install on your desktop, mobile or tablet. Choose the period of time that you wish to be blocked from gambling and Bet Blocker will block access until your chosen time period has expired. The block will automatically refresh when your self-exclusion period ends, so there is no opportunity to gamble during this time. Once installed the App works by blocking websites, apps and games that relate to gambling.
How to Gamble Responsibly
JackpotCity publishes these on the site. Worth reading:
- Gambling is entertainment, not income. Don't treat it like a second job
- Never chase your losses. If you're down, walk away
- Only gamble what you can genuinely afford to lose
- Take regular breaks. It's easy to lose track of time
- Do not gamble while under the influence of alcohol, emotional upset or stress. Your judgment will be impaired.
- Win money by understanding each game & the true chances of success in each contest.
✓ Our Assessment: The site meets the Ontario standard, which is quite high. Features such as support self-exclusion and excluding oneself directly on the site, the Centralized Self-Exclusion Register, and numerous links to external resources for help with problem gambling. In-session features such as reality checks and play history could be improved. However, the site is well supported by AGCO.
JackpotCity Casino Customer Support (Ontario)
We tested three channels: live chat, toll-free phone, and email support. Here's how each one stacked up.
💬 Live Chat (Recommended)
Most Recommended Broker. Available 24/7. Agents are real people that can assist with accounts, deposits/withdrawals, bonuses and technology issues. We opened a live chat and had a reply within three minutes. The representative seemed to have a good understanding of the site and gave clear and to the point answers as opposed to referring us to email. First choice.
📞 Phone Support
1-888-378-1328 (toll-free Canada)
Available 24/7 Calls are recorded – Standard for licensed casinos in Canada Toll free for Ontario players Free of charge Dedicated support lines are better than regular chat channels when dealing with complex issues. That being said, using chat for customer support usually takes less time and gets you the same result.
📧 Email Support
jackpotcity@playersupportcentre.ca (General inquiries)
complaints@playersupportcenter.ca (Formal complaints)
Email is super slow. Like 24-48 hours minimum for anything basic. Longer for anything that requires even a modicum of effort. I've pretty much written down that I only use email for documentation purposes now. If I ever need to build a paper trail for anything or need to formally complain about something then email is fine, but for anything else which can be done more quickly via chat or phone then I'd rather not use email.
✓ Our Take: The live chat and phone were great. They were fast, very responsive, and we never had to hang up or repeat ourselves. A toll free number that works in Ontario is a great plus. There is an email for documentation and forms, but the live chat is so fast it is far and away the best choice.
Final Verdict: JackpotCity Ontario
Good
Two weeks. We're now dealing with a real account, using real money and processing withdrawal requests. We've already covered the fundamentals: everything from obtaining an AGCO license to being FIPPA and PIPEDA compliant, and from utilizing SSL encryption to having our games RNG certified, to providing 24/7 support and being a part of the Ontario Central Self-Exclusion Register. The company we're dealing with has 29 years of experience in the online gaming industry. They've partnered with the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Toronto Raptors, and the Toronto Rock, and it's interesting to note that teams in professional sports have to scrutinize who their gambling partners are.
What is stopping it from reaching a high score? Mainly is that there is no option to pay with e-wallets or with cryptocurrency, and withdrawals are carried out much slower than at online casinos that accept Skrill or Neteller, on top of which you have a first cash out restriction. We do not have any problem with regards to the security provided and the laws that regulate this site, but the payment terms and withdrawals have greatly limited a higher score in our rating system to 7.6.
✅ Recommended For: Ontario residents looking for a professionally run casino with many years of proven history that has official partnerships with many Toronto sports teams.
⚠️ Not Recommended For: Table game players with low contribution rates (2-8%), e-wallet or crypto users, or those who don't wish to experience potential first cashout restrictions.
