Why We Chose JackpotCity Alberta - Our Review Process

JackpotCity's Alberta casino can be accessed at jackpotcity.ca/alberta. According to its FAQ, the .ca domain takes your account located in Alberta, and the .com domain takes a separate account located outside of Alberta.

Cadtree Limited operates all four sites (JackpotCity, Spin Casino, Ruby Fortune, Royal Vegas) under one set of terms. Each site has a separate wallet. The AGLC's registrant site lists Cadtree as the licence holder of JackpotCity and Spin Casino until July 13, 2027. JackpotCity’s About Us says it was launched in 1998.

The home page states that the game studios hosted are Games Global, OnAir Entertainment, Pragmatic Play, Blueprint Gaming and Hacksaw Gaming. The home page states there are over 1000 games. The iPhone app states that it supports iGaming in Alberta. The Google Play app states that it supports iGaming in Ontario.

How We Reviewed JackpotCity Alberta

We accessed JackpotCity's Alberta terms (1.1, September 2026), withdrawal policy, promotion terms and payment terms, and reviewed their Responsible Gaming, Privacy, FAQ, About and mobile pages, on October 21, 2026. We checked the AGLC’s licensed operators list and the Alberta iGaming Corporation’s website-based gaming list, as well as the App Store listings, on October 21, 2026. On October 22, 2026, we accessed the help center and reviewed articles on withdrawals and verification. We describe our assessment process in more detail in our methodology.

⭐ So Why Did We Give JackpotCity Alberta an 8.2?

JackpotCity's own terms state that players may file a complaint with the AGLC should they be dissatisfied with how the operator handles such complaints. The terms also state that the operator will not charge inactivity fees for a period of 12 months. JackpotCity's own Alberta pages state that the minimum deposit will be $10 CAD. The iPhone app has a rating of 4.5 out of more than 25,000 ratings.

It loses points for inconsistent terms and conditions. The Jackpot City Terms state that all withdrawals are pending for 24 hours and are not processed on weekends. The Jackpot City payments page states that withdrawals are processed on weekends. As of now, Apple Pay is unclear for withdrawals at Jackpot City, and Interac and Visa are the clear options. This is scored at 8.2/10.

JackpotCity Payment Methods (Alberta)

Available Payment Options (Alberta Only)

JackpotCity's Alberta payments page lists six methods (checked October 21, 2026):

  • Interac: both directions, with 1–3 business days stated for payouts
  • Visa: both directions, with 1–24 hours stated for payouts
  • Mastercard, American Express and Google Pay: deposits only
  • Apple Pay: deposits; payouts unclear (see below)

Apple Pay: On Jackpot City's Payment page, the Apple Pay card is shown to be a withdrawal method, and the time for payment is unclear. The homepage of Jackpot City states that Apple Pay is a deposit method. Interac and Visa are the clear methods for both deposit and withdrawal. As of now, Interac and Visa should be used for withdrawals.

Deposit Speed & Fees

JackpotCity's FAQ states the minimum deposit is $10. Promotional offers, however, can set a different deposit limit. The deposit is processed through the Banking section of your account. The payments section of the site says JackpotCity “does not charge internal fees”. However, the terms and conditions say withdrawals can be subject to fees. After a 12-month period of no activity on your account, an inactivity fee can be charged. Your bank can also charge you fees for completing the transaction, and some transactions are processed by Digiprocessing Limited in Guernsey.

JackpotCity Alberta payment methods: Interac and Visa for deposits and withdrawals, Apple Pay for deposits with payouts unclear, and Mastercard, American Express and Google Pay for deposits only, and a responsible gambling strip at the bottom: 18+, Play responsibly, AHS 24/7 Helpline 1-866-332-2322

Jackpot City Alberta Withdrawal Times

Transfers made with a Visa should be processed within 1 to 24 hours, and Interac transfers should be processed in 1 to 3 business days, according to the Payments page. However, the same page states that Interac transactions are processed within hours. JackpotCity's FAQ states that payouts may be processed in as little as one day, or as many as seven. First and/or larger payouts may be reviewed and take longer to process.

The help center states Instant Withdrawals are processed for Interac and card payments and state no pending periods are required. Older help center statements keep a 24 hour pending period, state card payments and bank transfers may take between 3-7 business days, and payments are not processed on weekends.

Withdrawals have a 24-hour hold. Processing is only done during the week, and you can reverse a hold during the wait period. According to the withdrawal policy, requests made between 5 AM GMT Thursdays and 5 AM GMT Sundays, can be revoked up to 5 AM GMT Mondays. The website processing page states that withdrawals are processed during the weekends and the old reversal window has been removed.

The help desk states the minimum amount for a withdrawal is $50. Withdrawals are processed to the deposit method, up to the amount initially deposited. The first withdrawal, a larger withdrawal or a change in the deposit method may trigger additional verification.

Withdrawal Limits & Restrictions

Withdrawal limits are determined by the status of your account and the payment method used. Verification of your identity and completion of wagering requirements are prerequisites to payout. If your deposit method cannot support a withdrawal, you can be required to add another method in your banking settings. Payouts are made in one transaction or in multiple transactions. Your account can be subject to a review before payout.

Winnings from the welcome offer is paid in cash and is credited to your account without any wagering requirements, according to the updated promotion terms. Other promos that don’t have terms and conditions of their own, fall under the general terms and conditions. The general terms and conditions state that wagering may be set at 35x and the cash prize may be capped at C$100.

If a player does not log into their account for 12 consecutive months, the account will be charged a C$5 admin fee each month and the account balance will not go below zero. After 24 months of inactivity, the account will be closed by JackpotCity, and the player will be entitled to claim the funds remaining on the account. Unfinished game balances that remain on the account for 90 days can be forfeited, with the exception of video poker, as described on the JackpotCity Terms and Conditions page.

Our assessment: For withdrawals, rely on Interac and Visa. Weekend payouts and instant withdrawals are to be found on the payments page. Terms and conditions state funds are not available for withdrawal until 24 hours after a request is made and weekend processing is not available.

Final Verdict: JackpotCity Alberta

8.2/10

Very Good

JackpotCity is a licensed and long-standing brand operating in Alberta. Our review of the limits and exclusions, along with the AGLC's Central Program, was completed. JackpotCity is on both official Alberta Gaming websites.

Some of the sites' details conflict, and we gave it an 8.2 because of the conflicting info. Most importantly to the player, this includes when cash-outs are processed and what methods are used. It keeps terms of a 24-hour pending period and no weekend processing. Only Interac and Visa are clearly stated payout methods.

It's good for users in Alberta that want an AGLC licensed casino, that's been in business since 1998. It's also a good choice for users that want to cash out using Interac or Visa and that are using an iPhone or the browser.

It's not a good choice for users that want payouts on weekends. Also, if users want an Alberta app that's available on Google Play, they should look elsewhere. Outside of Alberta, read our JackpotCity review. In Ontario, read our JackpotCity Ontario review.
