Introduction

This page is a simple explanation of the information we collect when you visit casinoenjoyer.com, as well as how we use that information. We don’t like hidden or underhanded conditions, and hope you find this page refreshing. If you don’t like what you see, feel free not to use our site.

Information We Collect

Information You Give Us

We do not require you to create an account and, therefore, will not collect personal information that way. However, we may collect information you voluntarily provide, for example, when you ask us a question or request a casino review. In those cases, we may collect your name, e-mail address, and any other information you provide.

Information Collected Automatically

When you load a page, our web server automatically logs some basic technical data, as almost every website does:

  • Your IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Referring URLs and pages visited on our site
  • Date and time of your visit

We use Google Analytics to collect information on how you use our site if you allow Analytics cookies. This includes what pages you look at and how long you look at them. See Cookies & Tracking Technologies for more info.

Location Check (Province)

Online casino rules depend on which province you’re in. We have a number of reviews, list pages and redirect pages (our casino links), and in these your browser will send your IP address to a geolocation service (ipapi.co or freeipapi.com) to find your country and province. We use this to show you the right content for your province and not send you to a casino that you’re not allowed to play at. We don’t get this data, and your location is not stored on our servers. The check doesn’t repeat on every page, because your browser will store this info for up to 12 hours. If you don’t want to be shown the content for your province you can close the suggestion and it will be saved until you close your browser tab.

Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We do not use a lot of cookies. The only cookies that are always used are essential cookies. The rest are used only if you accept cookies through our cookie banner.

What We Actually Use

  • Essential (always on): Our ce_cookie_consent cookie stores your cookie choices for 365 days, so we don't ask you on every page.
  • Analytics (only if you allow them): Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, tells us which pages people read and how they use the site, so we can improve it. This includes clicks on our casino links: which casino and where on the page the link was.
  • Preferences and marketing (only if you allow them): Preference cookies remember settings that personalize your visit. Marketing cookies let advertising tags measure campaigns and show relevant ads. We don't currently run any advertising tags.
  • Affiliate cookies: When you click a casino link, we send you to the casino's site. The casino or its affiliate tracking partner may set cookies there to record that you came from us. Those cookies are set on their site, under their policies, and we don't control them.

We implement Google Tag Manager only after you make a decision with regard to the cookie banner. If you do not allow analytics and marketing, Google will process the tags with storage blocked, so no analytics or marketing cookies will be set. Google may still log that a particular page was viewed, and may use that information to generate analytics reports. You can change your preferences using the button at the foot of every page. For more information, see our Cookie Policy. The pages do not load fonts hosted by third parties, so we do not make any requests to third parties for fonts.

How We Use Your Information

Here's the short version of what we do with the data we collect:

  • Keep the site running properly
  • Reply to your emails and questions
  • Figure out what content is actually useful and what isn't
  • Catch and fix technical problems
  • Meet any legal requirements we're subject to

We do not sell your data. We have never sold your data and we never will. It is against our principles to sell your personal information. We make money through affiliate marketing and paid placements (see How We Make Money), not through the sale of your data.

Data Sharing & Disclosure

We don't share your data with many third parties. Here are the limited situations when we might share it with some:

  • Service providers: Companies that help us run the site, such as our web host, Google (Tag Manager and Analytics, if you allow analytics) and the IP geolocation services described above. They process data only to provide their services, under their own terms and privacy policies.
  • The law and court orders: We may have to disclose information to comply with legal or court orders.
  • Safety matters: If we need to take action to keep someone safe or to protect their rights – including your own – we may share information about what's happening.

Data Security

While we take steps to safeguard your data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted over the Internet.

Data Retention

The data that we collect is retained only as long as we need it. Data reported to us by our analytics service is reported in aggregate and is not used to identify individuals. In the event that retention of data is required by law, we will retain data as required by law.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you have real rights over your data. They usually include the right to:

  • See what personal data we actually hold on you
  • Ask us to correct anything that's wrong
  • Request that we delete it entirely
  • Pull back any consent you've given, at any time
  • Complain to a privacy regulator about how we handle your personal information. In Canada, that's the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Children's Privacy

This site is for the use of adults 19+ (in most provinces of Canada), and 18+ (in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec). We do not knowingly gather information from any individual under the legal age. If you are a parent and believe we have any information from your child, please contact us and we will delete it.

If there is an update to our privacy policy, the date at the top will reflect this.
