Our Testing Standard

How a Casino Earns a Spot on This Page

All casinos promote fast withdrawals. But what really is fast for a casino? We don't just take their word for it. We fund our accounts with real money and then test how long it takes for the casino to process our withdrawal requests. Only a select few casinos process Interac e-Transfer withdrawals in less than 24 hours. These are the ones that we have verified to meet this criteria.

I put in $200-$500 to start, then either fulfill any bonus play through requirements or choose to withdraw straight away. I track when I clicked the withdraw button to Interac e transfer notification exactly. I try withdraw multiple times on various days of the week and at various times to see if there is any consistency or slack in their policies. A good casino would be fast every time, even on a Saturday night and not just on a Tuesday afternoon.

What We Measure

  • Approval speed (first checkpoint): We measure the approval speed to the first checkpoint which is time from withdrawal request to "approved" status in the user's account. We strive to keep this time below 2 hours on business days.
  • Processing speed (second checkpoint): If payment is processed quickly after approval, this would be considered strong. Interac payment processing should occur immediately or within the next business day.
  • Total withdrawal time (what actually matters): Total time it takes to actually withdraw the funds: The time it takes from when you request the e-transfer from your account to when the funds are deposited directly into your bank account (Interac Email Money Transfer) through your inbox email. This should be within a 24 hour time frame, ideally no more than 12 hours.
  • Weekend vs weekday consistency: Is there a difference between weekend and weekday consistency at fast casinos? At fast casinos payment processing is automated 24/7. So there is no difference in how fast you are paid after hours or on the weekends. The casinos are just as fast at 5 PM as they are at 8 AM.
  • First vs repeat withdrawal: First Withdrawal vs Repeated Withdrawal Speeds - Are Casinos Faster for the Second Time?

Excluded from this list are casinos that require manual document verification for every withdrawal (where manual document verification for first withdrawal only is acceptable), have pending periods in excess of 24 hours and inconsistent withdraw speeds. Both of the casinos showcased on this page – LeoVegas and BetMGM Ontario – process withdrawals out within a timeframe of 2–12 hours on average with the longest time being within a 24 hour period.

The Numbers Behind "Fast"

What "Fast" Actually Means: The Timeline Breakdown

"Instant withdrawals" is a slogan bandied about by fast casinos to lure in worried players. They're correct in some respects: "instant withdrawals" do exist at fast casinos, and in this post we'll explain exactly what's happening when you hit the withdrawal button.

Stage Fast Casinos (LeoVegas, BetMGM) Slow Casinos (Everyone Else) Why the Difference
Request Submitted Instant confirmation, "pending" status Instant confirmation, "pending" status Same for everyone
Verification Check Automated – completes in seconds if account already verified Manual review queue – 12–48 hours even for verified accounts Fast casinos automate compliance; slow casinos use manual approval as friction
Approval 30 min–2 hours 24–72 hours Automated systems vs manual processing queues
Payment Processing Immediate to 1 hour 1–3 business days Direct Interac integration vs third-party payment processors
Funds in Your Bank 2–12 hours total 3–7 days total End-to-end automation vs multiple manual touchpoints

All casinos are now fast casinos, where everything is automated except for some necessary regulatory checks. At No Bonus Airheads, withdrawals are sent directly to players' Interac accounts via an automated system that approves or denies the request in real time for the completion of bonus play requirements, sufficient balance, and satisfaction of Know Your Customer checks. Contrast this to slow casinos that cause delays in the wagering process in order to increase their chance of reverting player winnings.

Real example from our testing: Processing times for bank withdrawals at some casinos can be lengthy. Not so with LeoVegas, however, where cashouts are processed quickly. We requested a withdrawal for $300 at 2:14 PM on a Tuesday, and it was approved and processed by 3:02 PM, or 48 minutes later. We then received an email from Interac at 3:47 PM (1 hour 33 minutes total). This is in stark contrast to what we experienced at another casino where cashout times were held up to "3–5 business days" and required multiple live chat prompts to have the transaction actually processed. It ended up taking four days.

What Slows You Down

The Hidden Delays That Slow Down Your Payout

Even casinos that claim "24-hour withdrawals" hide delays in the fine print. Here are the common tactics that turn a fast payout into a week-long wait – and how the casinos on this page avoid them.

Pending periods

Most online casinos have a "pending period" where withdrawal requests are left to sit there for 24 to 72 hours before anyone processes the transaction. While some say this is to comply with anti-money-laundering regulations, it's more likely meant to give casinos a chance to bully you into scraping back your winnings. Simply say, they want you to cancel your withdrawal and play for more money instead. LeoVegas and BetMGM Ontario do not have any pending period, as soon as you initiate a withdrawal, the online casino will go ahead and process the transaction for you.

Repeated verification requests

Casinos occasionally verify a player's ID on the first withdrawal (fair enough), but then insist on more updated documents on the second payout. Fortunately, the casinos listed on this site only need to verify you once. You'll need to upload ID and proof of address the first time you cash out, after which you're good to go for life unless you change your address or payment method. No requests for repeated documents or pointless "security checks".

Weekend and holiday "processing delays"

Casinos that require manual approval to process withdrawals don't do withdrawals on weekends and holidays. You could submit a withdrawal late Friday afternoon or evening and not hear from anyone until Monday morning. The platforms and technology behind online casino operations never really take a break — including withdrawals. We've done same-day withdrawals on Saturday night and Sunday morning here at LeoVegas. Same day withdrawals late on Tuesday afternoon at BetMGM Ontario.

Payment method "unavailability"

Interac payments are deposited first to then be withdrawn via Interac, which is reportedly "temporarily unavailable" and requires a bank wire transfer that takes 3–5 business days. You will not be forced to go down to a slower method at LeoVegas or BetMGM Ontario if you deposited with Interac and with draw with Interac.

Minimum withdrawal thresholds

Some casinos have a minimum withdrawal amount of $50 or $100, meaning if you win just a little, you can be forced to keep playing to win back more to withdraw the lower amount. Not here! With both casinos you can withdraw as little as $10–$20 at a time, keeping only the winnings you want to.

What fast looks like

Withdrawals at LeoVegas and BetMGM Ontario happen quickly! Withdraw → Automatically approved in 30 min to 2 hours → Funds sent to Interac → Email received in 2 hours to 12 hours. No pending periods, no re verification, and no weekend delays. Verified and no active bonus? Your money is gone in no time.

Speed by Payment Method

Why Interac Beats Every Other Withdrawal Method in Canada

While some payment methods are designed to facilitate faster withdrawals than others, all have their own merits and utilize different means to move funds at online gambling destinations that support Canadian players. This article will explore how Interac e-Transfer compares to other transaction options currently available at online casinos that cater to players from this country.

Method Speed (Best Case) Fees Why It's Slower/Faster
Interac e-Transfer ⭐ 2–24 hours $0–$1.50 (bank fee only) Direct bank-to-bank transfer, no intermediaries, instant settlement
Visa Direct / Mastercard 1–3 business days $0–$5 Card networks add processing layers; some banks block gambling transactions
Bank Wire / EFT 3–5 business days $10–$30 Requires manual processing at both casino and bank; routing through intermediary banks
PayPal / Skrill / Neteller 24–48 hours 2%–5% (e-wallet fee) Faster than wire but limited casino support in Canada; high fees eat into winnings
Bitcoin / Crypto 1–24 hours Network fees (variable) Fast if casino processes immediately, but requires crypto wallet setup and exchange fees to convert to CAD
Cheque / Check 7–21 business days $0–$50 (courier fee) Physical mail delivery plus bank hold period – avoid this unless no other option

Why Interac is so popular with casinos in Canada? Interac payments are integrated into all of the major banks' online banking systems. Interac e-Transfer payments don't require you to have a 3rd party account. They get settled instantly. And Interac E-Transfer payments are basically free. As a result, you get to see withdrawal payments sent to you by casinos within your existing online banking interface - received directly as an Interac E-Transfer, just like you use to split a bill with friends at a restaurant or to pay your rent each month. Directly, immediately, and without a hold.

Two of the most popular options for wagering online in Ontario, LeoVegas and BetMGM Ontario both accept deposits with Interac. We like Interac for several reasons, chief among them that it is the fastest, least expensive and most reliable way to move money online for Canadians. So, no surprise that LeoVegas also completes Interac withdrawals back to the same account.

Questions About Casino Withdrawal Times

Why is my casino withdrawal taking so long?

There are three common reasons for delayed withdrawals:

1. Pending verification: All first withdrawals require ID verification (Driver's License/State ID, Passport or Utility Bill) for our customers safety. Please upload these documents right after you have requested withdrawal and we will process it right away. Casinos usually ask for this after the withdrawal has been processed but at WinPots we don't want you to wait any longer, so please send them over as soon as possible and verification will take no more than 24-48 hours.

2. Bonus wagering incomplete: Where you are playing with a bonus, you will not be able to withdraw any of your money until you have fulfilled the wagering requirements of the bonus in full. In many casinos, you will be able to check your account for information on your "bonus status" or "playthrough progress" to find out how much you have left to do to lift any restrictions. This information may also be found in the bonus terms and conditions.

3. Slow payment processing: I have experienced long wait times when withdrawing my winnings. The money has reached my bank account within 5-7 days, which is pretty standard. However, in the past when I had a balance and no active bonus, I have waited up to a week and a half. Even after account verification, this is too slow. Compared to Interac which is within 24-48 hours, there is obvious room for improvement. Perhaps this is on purpose so you don't want to withdraw your money and continue playing.

What to do: Tell our live chat why you're unhappy and ask for the reason of delay. If we say we're processing the withdrawal please request a time frame on when you will receive the withdrawal. If you've verified and it's been over 5 days ask to speak with a manager. Every other casino on our site processes all payments within 24 hours if verification is completed.

What is the fastest withdrawal method for Canadian casinos?

Most Canadian players would agree that Interac e-Transfer is the fastest and most guaranteed way to withdraw funds from their online gaming accounts. All the top-rated sportsbooks we've listed above have Interac withdrawal options, with the funds being transferred out within 24 hours at the latest. At time of writing, withdrawals using this method at both LeoVegas and BetMGM Ontario are processed within 2-6 hours during business hours.

Why Interac is the Fastest Option: Direct Bank-to-Bank Interac payments are the fastest and most secure method for withdrawing casino funds. Money is instantly deposited directly to your email/phone-attached Interac account, and the funds are available instantly at your bank. Other withdrawal options such as wire transfer, Visa Direct and Bitcoin can have an additional transaction processing time of 1 to 3 days.

Speed comparison:

  • Interac e-Transfer: 2-24 hours (LeoVegas, BetMGM Ontario)
  • Visa Direct: 1-3 business days
  • Bank Wire: 3-5 business days
  • Bitcoin: 1-24 hours (but requires crypto wallet setup)
  • Cheque: 7-21 business days (avoid this)

Bottom line: So far so good. Since I am Canadian, it is best to just use Interac e-Transfer for withdrawals. It is quickest, safest and all the casinos are set up to do it already.

Can I cancel a pending withdrawal?

I assume that's how it usually is, but in this case I shouldn't be able to take it back? Usually you can cancel a pending withdrawal before it goes through to the payment processor to have it reversed. I've seen that option in the withdrawal history/cashier area to press "Cancel" and it would be stopped before going through.

Why do casinos allow reversals: Because players are more likely to lose money than win money, and a pending withdrawal of $500 after 3 days of play is hard to resist, even though it's better to withdraw and cancel immediately. Casinos with slow withdrawal (5-7 days) also use reversal psychology to reduce their actual payouts.

Our advice: Never try to withdraw your funds before the Interac transfer has posted to your email. Work on the philosophy that once you hit send on the withdrawal request, just forget about the whole thing. Try your best to avoid opening the casino app, and just wait for the Interac transfer to email you to try to reversal the funds. Surprisingly, both of the above casinos process their withdrawals pretty quickly, before you have time to change your mind.

A Red Flag: It is generally a lot easier to cancel a withdrawal than it is to reverse a deposit. Of course, Fast Casinos do not need to resort to reversal psychology to scam their customers. Instead, they simply honor their withdrawal promises and pay you.

Do casinos charge fees for fast withdrawals?

These aren't the casinos on that page. Both LeoVegas and BetMGM Ontario have no fees for Interac e-Transfer withdrawals. However, you may be charged an Interac receiving fee by your bank for these transactions. The fee is currently $1-$1.50 per transaction, but can change over time.

Be aware that other Casinos charge "instant withdrawal" fees: You may encounter some Casinos charging 2%-5% for their premium "fast" withdrawal service. As mentioned earlier, fast payouts should be included as part of the standard Casino service and not a premium you have to pay for. Most Casinos listed on Topslots offer free withdrawal. Be wary of Casinos that charge a $10 "fast track processing fee"!

Minimum Withdrawals: Like LeoVegas, BetMGM Ontario requires a minimum withdrawal of $10 or $20 via Interac e-Transfer. For withdrawals requested in excess of $5,000, operators must conduct additional verification to comply with anti-money-laundering regulations. There is no maximum withdrawal amount for any withdrawal request.

How many times can I withdraw per day/week?

Please keep in mind that policies may vary across casinos, but here we are looking at two specific examples - LeoVegas and BetMGM Ontario.

LeoVegas: 3 withdrawals at a time. There is no weekly withdrawal limit but you can only have 3 withdrawals in pending status at the same time. Withdrawals are processed within 24 hours so this is rarely a problem.

BetMGM Ontario: BetMGM Ontario does not seem to set a limit on how often you can withdraw. During our testing we were able to process the same day withdrawals without incident. Even though you won't find this specific right spelled out in the AGCO's regulations on internet gaming in Ontario, it is a necessary one to prevent Ontario casinos from being able to unfairly restrict payout access which would be against the principle of reasonable withdrawal access.

Red flag to watch for: Remember, most Casinos have a red flag attached to their cash with drawing terms. Most Casinos limit you to one withdrawal per week or sometimes no more than 2 withdrawals per month. These Casinos are offshore (shady) and the real Casino regulator, in countries with Casino regulation, MGA or AGCO for example, would never dream of setting such limitations. So beware and do not sign up with any on-line Casino that has terms with such limitations on cash with drawls.

What documents do I need to verify my account for withdrawals?

The important thing to remember is that all casinos require identification for the first withdrawal to ensure that you are who you say you are. Most casinos will ask for photographic identification in order to comply with anti-money-laundering legislation.

1. Photo ID (one of these):

  • Driver's license (front and back)
  • Passport (photo page)
  • Government-issued ID card

2. Proof of address (one of these, dated within last 3 months):

  • Utility bill (electricity, gas, water, internet)
  • Bank statement showing your address
  • Government letter (CRA tax notice, driver's license renewal)

3. Payment method verification (sometimes): As most players deposit with credit/debit cards the Casino might request for verification of the card (just front side with middle digits of card number obscured for security reasons) or even a photo with the card visible. This is to make sure that the customer actually has that credit/debit card.

Where to upload your ID photo: Most casinos have a "Verify Account" option in the profile section where you can upload a photo or PDF file. Some casinos also accept ID document scans to be emailed to support. Make sure the photo is in focus, well lit and not blurry, otherwise it will not be approved in time for your withdrawal.

Processing Timeframe: 24-48 business hours for verification to occur. Upload documents IMMEDIATELY AFTER REQUESTING FIRST WITHDRAWAL, don't wait for casino to request. At LeoVegas & BetMGM Ontario, verified accounts can process withdrawals in under 24 hours.
